The Salvation Army of Manitowoc is unveiling its Mobile Food Pantry beginning on May 7, 2021.
The Mobile Food Pantry will stop at various locations throughout the county every Friday. The pantry will serve subsidized elderly and disabled apartment complexes.
Lt. Jenny Moffitt, corps officer of the Salvation Army says, “This option is not to replace a scheduled trip to the food pantry, but a way to get supplemental food to folks who may have challenges getting to the pantry.”
The Mobile Food Pantry will distribute a bag of nonperishable food items and possibly deli and bakery items as well, at each of the locations.
Tenants are encouraged to speak with their building managers about this initiative for more details. Apartment managers of subsidized senior living locations should contact (920) 684-7117 if they are interested in partaking.
