A Sheboygan man who faces charges in a 2019-armed robbery case was back in Sheboygan County Court yesterday for his preliminary hearing.
21-year-old Donyha Bankhead was arrested earlier this year and is facing charges of Robbery with Use of Force, 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Substantial Battery, Intentionally Causing Harm, and Operating without Consent while Possessing a Weapon.
Bankhead reportedly called the victim in May of 2019 asking for help getting into his apartment, and when the victim came outside, Bankhead held a gun in their face.
He then demanded cash, clothing, and an iPhone.
Bankhead reportedly took off with $1,500, and the victim’s car after leaving them unconscious.
Bankhead could spend as many as 15 years in prison if he is convicted.
