Manitowoc County has been doing very well in Vaccinating citizens for COVID according to County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer. On WOMT’s be my guest program this morning, he said:
“We’re doing a very good job, we’re leading basically every week in our surrounding counties, so the vaccine distribution is very good.”
Ziegelbauer said that vaccinations are now available from a wide variety of sources, including pharmacies and health care providers, and noted, “We’re phasing out of our vaccine clinic because we don’t see the need for them, and we’re transitioning, phasing out this month, we’ll do all of the appointments we have promised, and we have promised a second dose for a lot of people in the next couple of weeks.”
The County Executive feels that there is no longer a need for the county to be doing a job that can now be handled by the private sector.
