The Wisconsin CASA Association is asking Wisconsinites to wear blue today (April 14th) in honor of their fourth annual “I am for the Child Day”.
This small act shows your support for the Court Appointed Special Advocates and highlights your support for those children who need such advocates.
Roughly one in seven Wisconsin children eligible for an Advocate will not receive one because there aren’t enough volunteers to serve as Advocates.
There are currently local CASA programs in 12 Wisconsin counties, with goals of expanding over the next few years.
Local programs are planning to offer new Advocate training later this spring, summer, and fall.
