Many large cities throughout the country have implemented electric scooters for pedestrians to get around easier.
Now Sheboygan may be the next city to get them.
It is being reported that Bird Rides Inc is looking to open their scooter rental business in the city.
The City would have to determine where the scooters can and cannot be used, and it is being considered to limit them to roadways, prohibiting use on sidewalks.
A discussion on the topic will be held during the Licensing, Hearings, and Public Safety Committee meeting at 4:00 this evening. If the measure passes, it would go before the full City Council for approval.
