As a reminder, this week is Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week and there are several tornado drills scheduled for later this week.
Both Manitowoc and Brown Counties are scheduled to perform drills on Thursday (April 15th) at 1:45 AND 6:45 PM. The siren will sound for approximately 60 seconds at those times.
Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director Travis Waack is asking families to practice their response during these drills, because “The best way to ensure children and others in your family will remember where to seek shelter during a storm is to practice.”
If severe weather is expected in the state on Thursday, the tornado drills will be postponed until Friday at the same times.
