
The Manitowoc Lincoln High School Girls Volleyball team was very impressive in sweeping two opponents Saturday in the WIAA Regional Tournament.
The Ships posted the first of two, 3-set sweeps by defeating Sheboygan South 25-7, 25-19, and 25-17 before dominating the #2-seed, Sheboygan North in the championship match 25-11, 25-12, and 25-15.
Top-seeded Manitowoc now advances to the Sectional tomorrow (April 13th) in Oshkosh where it has the #2 seed.
Coach Mary Beth Dixon’s squad faces 3rd seeded Whitewater in a 4:30 semifinal hosted by Oshkosh North.
The other semifinal involving #1 seed Oshkosh West and Racine Case is at ‘West High School.
The two winners meet on the Wildcats’ floor Tuesday night at 7:00 for the title and a trip to State.
