
The Manitowoc Lincoln Girls Volleyball team closed out a perfect regular season conference record with a 3-set sweep of Pulaski at the JFK Fieldhouse last night.
Coach Mary Beth Dixon said the Ships defeated the Red Raiders 25-13, 25-13 and 25-17, and, finished all levels, Varsity, JV-1 and JV-2, at 9-0 in conference play.
Coach Dixon said after the match “I’m proud of all the girls for their never-ending tenacity to make it all work during this alternate fall season.”
The Ships will host the Regional tomorrow with a semifinal match at 1:00 PM versus Sheboygan South, followed by Sheboygan North and Fond du lac at 4:00. The title match is set for 7:00 Saturday night.
Also, the Ships are listed #5 in the Division-1 portion of the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association Rankings, released yesterday.
Appleton North is atop the poll, followed by Oshkosh West, De Pere, and Kimberly. Sheboygan North received Honorable Mention status.
Laconia is number-1 in Division-2, with St. Mary’s Springs of Fond du lac 3rd, Sturgeon Bay 7th, and Sevastopol #8.
