“Things can always change, but as of now the Manitowoc County Fair is set to take place in 2021.”
That’s according to Manitowoc Expo Facilities Manager Jennell Shelton, who tells Seehafer News the fair is scheduled for August 25th through the 29th.
Shelton explains a new offering this summer will be the Sea Lion Show, right outside the Americollect Merchants Building.
She said that the show was featured at the Brown and Sheboygan County Fairs in the past, “and we’re bringing it here because the community is looking for something fun like that, geared to family. People want to see the water show with sea lions performing and we’ll have showtimes in our brochure and on the website as we get closer (to the fair).”
As is tradition, music acts are in place with other entertainment offerings as well, including the truck and tractor pull, and the demo derby. Shelton also confirmed that the Special Olympics Running A-Fair is already set in place.
Shelton added, “We’re gearing up for this year’s fair and working with the (Manitowoc County) Health Department and taking the necessary safety precautions we’re supposed to be doing.”
She closed by saying “Just like everyone else we’re excited (for this) and wanting to get back to that normal (before the pandemic).”
