
The Manitowoc County Health Department reported some rather mild COVID-19 numbers yesterday (April 6th).
While only six new cases were added, raising the pandemic total up to 7,371, there were also 543 vaccines administered. That is just below the average daily vaccinations in March, where roughly 630 shots were given each day.
Of those new shots, only 202 went into the arms of first-time patients. In total 42,635 vaccines have been given out, with 26,990 of those being first dose shots.
Also of note, three more people are being treated in area hospitals, now at 23, and the death toll remained stagnant at 68 for the 12th consecutive day.
In Sheboygan County, 12 new cases were reported by the Division of Public Health, alongside 14 recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 13,336 confirmed cases, 13,033 recoveries, and 169 cases remain active.
They also did not report any new deaths, leaving that total unchanged at 134.
