Police report the 23-year-old man who was wounded in a weekend shooting in Madison has died.
The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
The Madison Police Department Violent Crime Unit believes it was a targeted shooting.
Officers were called to a gas station just before 9:30 p-m Saturday.
They found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound and he was taken to a hospital.
This is Madison’s first homicide of 2021.
