Student complaints have led the University of Wisconsin-Madison to disable part of its digital anti-cheating software.
Some students said it didn’t recognize their darker skin tones.
The university began using the software known as Honorlock last summer when classes went online.
A spokesperson says U-W-Madison disabled the exam pause feature March 11th.
Those students were looking away from their cameras during an exam and the software paused the test because it couldn’t detect their facial features.
