Forward Jamal Cain is passing through the transfer portal so he can play for the Oakland Golden Grizzlies in the Horizon League.
The Rochester campus isn’t far from Cain’s hometown of Pontiac, Michigan. It will be the six-foot-seven athlete’s fifth season of college basketball after the N-C-A-A cleared the way for players to get an extra year of eligibility.
He was a starter for the Golden Eagles last season, averaging 9.6 points and 6.3 rebounds a game.
Cain scored 25 points in a January 2nd come-from-behind winner over Georgetown in his best collegiate performance.
