A 28-year-old Manitowoc man is facing charges after allegedly threatening to kill his girlfriend.
Officers were sent to a home in the 4500 block of Bleser Court on Friday (April 2nd) at around 9:45 PM, on a family trouble call. When they arrived, they found a man standing on the porch, whom they noted was exhibiting signs of intoxication.
Believing this man was the suspect, the officers told him to face away from them and began to place him into custody. The man was argumentative with officers and continuously interrupted the officers.
He was placed into a squad car as officers continued their investigation.
They spoke with the victim, who explained that her boyfriend, who was not the man in the squad car, had been drinking, and the two got into an argument.
She claims the man pushed her to the ground, spit on her, and threatened her with a knife.
The suspect was then arrested on a charge of Disorderly Conduct with a Domestic Violence enhancer.
It is not clear if the other man was arrested.
