Madison native Ty Felton-Byce is leaving the Wisconsin Badgers to start his professional hockey career.
The center has signed a contract with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.
Felton-Byce is scheduled to start a two-week quarantine in Canada Saturday with his pro contract covers the rest of this season and a second year in the American Hockey League during 2021 and 22.
Pelton-Byce says he considered returning for a fifth college season which would have been his third with the Badgers after transferring from Harvard.
He turns 24 years old this month and decided it is time to move on.
