Amazon recently announced that they have banned a book entitled “When Harry Became Sally”, a move Congressman Glenn Grothman does not support.
The book discusses the science behind Gender Dysphoria and has been a life-changing guide for individuals struggling with a crisis of identity.
In a written statement, Grothman said that once again, “America’s tech giants have weighed in and censored thought in America.”
He went on to say that Amazon has “has taken it upon themselves to filter information that does not fit their Silicon Valley worldview and deprive people of knowledge that may save their life.”
Grothman noted that the book changed the life of an author who struggled with his gender identity, and that “Individuals with Gender Dysphoria attempt suicide at an alarming rate.”
According to a Williams Institute study, 51% of respondents with Gender Dysphoria had attempted suicide that year.
