The Friends Of Resources, Wildlife And Recreational Development, or FORWARD Endowment has announced a major estate gift to the fund.
The estate of the late Mark Pupeter has provided a substantial gift to the endowment, which was established to fund projects focused on hunting, fishing, conservation, and related education.
Mark had a deep involvement in conservation in Manitowoc County and was part of several sporting organizations.
The leadership of the Manitowoc Unit of Fish & Game, who founded the trust noted that this gift will keep on giving to the conservation community in Manitowoc County for years to come and is greatly appreciated.
The FORWARD Endowment awarded $9,500 during the 2020 grant season, putting their total amount given up to over $130,000 since 1993.
