After two months of hosting Covid-19 Vaccinations in the Merchants Building at Manitowoc County Expo, vaccines are being administered at Rollaire Skate Center in Manitowoc at the end of this week.
Expo Facility Manager Jennell Shelton explains officials did vaccines yesterday in the Citizen Park location and are doing so again today for those who’ve made appointments for the shots. Department of Public Works was responsible for doing that setup, ahead of Expo hosting a huge Dog Show this weekend.
Shelton emphasizes that this has been a county effort.
“We’ve had people from the highway department helping, personnel department staff assisting at registration,” she explained. “and my office has provided data entry support at the beginning of all the forms coming through from people explaining whether it’s the first time getting the shot or the second shot. All of that has to be inputed.”
She added, “it’s definitely been a team effort.”
Vaccinations will return to the Merchants building at the County Expo next week.
