Holy Family Memorial in Manitowoc recently gave out their 10,000th dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Judy Check, HFM’s Employee Health Nurse said this is “a really awesome milestone for Holy Family Memorial and our community. We know we can’t get back to our lives as we knew them until we get some community-wide herd immunity.”
Check says slightly more than 74 percent of Manitowoc County residents over 65 and approximately 30.5 percent of all County residents have received a single shot of one of the three available vaccines, “So we have a little way to go yet. We don’t want to get complacent We want to keep our foot on the gas pedal by encouraging people and increase awareness that vaccination is really our best tool to help us get back to normal.”
Anyone who is eligible for a vaccine can register at HFMHealth.org. New appointments are offered weekly with both daytime and evening appointments available for convenience.
