Motorists traveling near Appleton had to find a new way to get to their destination yesterday when a grass fire broke out near I-41.
According to a Tweet by the Appleton Police Department at around 5:40 PM, all of the southbound lanes were closed off to traffic near Ballard Road, just west of the Highway 441 interchange, as crews battled the fire.
The Appleton Police announced about an hour later that the roadway was reopened and did not report any injuries or significant property damage.
