A De Pere man was arrested by the State Patrol for his 5th OWI offense.
According to State Patrol reports, a Trooper responded to a single-vehicle crash just after 1:00 this morning (March 31st) on County Highway II just west of Spring Road in Winnebago County.
The male driver, 51-year-old Daniel F. Deyo, reportedly lost control of his vehicle, causing it to crash into a concrete culvert before fleeing on foot. He was found shortly after and failed the subsequent field sobriety tests.
Deyo was then taken into custody and charged with suspicion of OWI, his 5th offense.
The matter is still under investigation pending the legal blood sample results.
