Manitowoc Public Utilities is reminding its customers that the winter moratorium on disconnections is ending in April.
The annual moratorium disallows the electricity supplier from disconnecting service during the cold winter months, but it will be ending on April 15th.
In a news release, MPU stated that residential customers who have not paid their bills during the winter months must pay their past due amounts, or must make arrangements with the company to pay.
Those customers may also be required to pay a security deposit equal to their highest four consecutive bills to avoid disconnection.
Payments can be made online, or by calling the MPU Office at 920-683-4600 during their normal business hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
