A Green Bay woman who is accused of neglecting her son to the point of his death may be entering a plea deal in the case.
Sagal Hussein was in court on Monday (March 29th) where defense attorney Timothy Hogan said that a plea deal was in the works.
Hussein’s son Josias was reportedly wheelchair-bound, blind, and depended on others to eat as he had cerebral palsy. His body was found in the trunk of Sagal’s car, with the medical examiner describing it as decomposed, mummified, and significantly malnourished.
The boy reportedly only weighed about 30 pounds at the time of his death.
Authorities believe the boy’s body was in the trunk of his mother’s car for months before it was discovered.
Hussein will be back in court on May 10th for her next hearing.
