Wisconsin Badgers football starts spring practice today (March 30th) and it may be one of the most important springs for the program in a few years.
In a meeting with the media Monday, head coach Paul Chryst pointed out that there are 44 players on his team that have never gone through spring practice.
That really holds back the development of younger players, although other Big Ten teams are dealing with the same problem.
Chryst says the start of spring practice was delayed so players could get their full winter conditioning completed.
He says his players are tested three times-a-week with the P-C-R tests.
