A 31-year-old Manitowoc man remains in the County Jail on $100 cash bond after repeatedly failing to obey a court order to have ‘no contact” with his mother.
Police took Edwin Guzman-Galarza into custody this morning on charges of Criminal Trespass and Two Counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping to a Dwelling. He had also been arrested twice in 2018 and 2020 and in January on similar charges.
His mother told authorities that she woke up and found her son sleeping on her couch. When he refused to leave, Guzman-Galarza responded by yelling at his mother so she called the police.
Conditions of bail are that he has “no contact” with the victim or her residence and his initial appearance is scheduled for April 8th at 10:30 a.m.
