A Door County organization made sure to keep our nation’s heroes in mind as spring began.
Adopt a Soldier Door County recently sent out 66 care packages to soldiers all over the world.
The organization has been sending out these packages for the last 12 years, sending snacks, games and many other luxuries from home to Door and Kewaunee County residents serving our country.
According to their website, they send “well over 1,000 boxes each years at a cost of about $20/box.”
The group also helps family members at home, as they provide them with extra groceries if needed, school supplies, and gifts for the children during the holidays.
