
The calendar says March 26th but for many division-1 high school programs in the region, it marks the opening game of the alternate Fall football season.
Manitowoc Lincoln plays host to Fond du Lac tonight in the first of a 5-game regular season, to be followed by a two-game playoff format.
Coach Greg Enz will lead his Shipbuilders into action at Ron Rubick Athletic Field against a very well-established Cardinals’ program.
Enz had nothing but high praise for Fond du Lac.
“There’s a mindset there,” he told Seehafer News. “Those kids play extremely hard, they built a culture and a weight program and an overall athletic program that I think can be a beacon that we want to aspire to in this community.” He also called the revival of the old 151 rivalry a really cool opportunity.
