The post-season competition for the Wisconsin Badgers men’s hockey team starts at noon today (Friday) in the N-C-A-A Eastern Regional.
The number-one seeded Badgers will meet Bemidji State (15-9-3) as they go after the program’s first national championship in 15 years.
The Bemidji State Beaves led the W-C-H-A in the fewest penalty minutes-a-game. They have been the best team in the nation at limiting goals scored and they have killed 93-percent of opponent power plays.
If Wisconsin (20-9-1) wins that game, they will meet the winner of U-Mass Amherst and Lake Superior State Saturday at 3:00 p-m.
