The Marquette Golden Eagles’ new Head Men’s Basketball Coach is Shaka Smart.
Smart replaces Steve Wojciechowski who was fired last week after seven seasons on the job. Smart is a 1995 graduate of Oregon High School near Madison and led Texas to three trips to the NCAA Tournament compiling a record of 195 and 109 in his six seasons with the Longhorns.
Smart also led Virginia Commonwealth (VCU) to the 2011 Final Four.
