Vaccine distributors in Manitowoc County continue to be busy as we strive toward herd immunity.
801 more COVID-19 vaccine shots were administered yesterday (March 25th), with 686 of those being first dose shots. Those vaccinations bring the total number of shots administered up to 34,954, with 22,458 of them going into first-time patients.
28.4% of all citizens in Manitowoc County have received at least one shot, while 27.3% of Wisconsinites can claim the same.
Also yesterday, only four more cases were added, while the death toll remained stagnant. This brings those totals up to 7,333 confirmed cases and 67 deaths.
The only bad news to report is that the number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 has slowly been rising over the past week. That statistic was at its lowest point on March 17th, where it sat at 17, but since then it has risen up to 33 in the report yesterday.
Meanwhile, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health reported 11 new cases yesterday, along with 9 recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 13,196 confirmed cases, 12,909 recoveries, and 154 cases that remain active.
They also did not report any new deaths, leaving that total at 133.
