The Green Bay Packers are keeping veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis on board by signing him to a two-year deal.
This will be Lewis’s fourth year with Green Bay.
He’s an important part of coach Matt LaFleur’s offense, serving as the team’s primary inline tight end.
Pro Football Focus grades Lewis as one of the best run-blocking tight ends in the N-F-L.
Lewis celebrates his 37th birthday in May.
He’s considered a team leader who is valued for the way he prepares and – according to general manager Brian Gutekunst – the way he is able to perform at a very high level.
Lewis is the third unrestricted free agent the Packers have retained this off-season, following Aaron Jones and Kevin King.
