Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst admits he’s borrowing money from future years to keep his team as intact as possible.
Gutekunst says the Packers have done it in the past and are forced to do it this year after two seasons of 13-and-3 records.
He says he’s “in the mode” of taking risks to win now.
One report shows Green Bay has over $200 million on the books in salaries for just 29 players for the 2022 season.
The salary cap will likely be much higher than this year’s $182-million, but that still means even more challenges next off-season.
