A barn in the Sheboygan County Town of Lyndon was destroyed over the weekend after a controlled burn went out of control.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department reports that the fire was called in at around 12:30 PM, with the callers saying they were performing a controlled burn on Blueberry Lane, when sparks kicked up.
The sparks then wafted toward the barn, and it erupted into flame.
While no injuries were reported, two tractors were destroyed along with the building, and an unspecified number of haybales were lost.
Roughly a dozen fire departments were on the scene to help battle the blaze.
