The Green Bay Packers are reportedly working on a restructured contact for quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The N-F-L Network reports it isn’t clear if the negotiation is centered around restructuring – or an extension.
The team decided not to convert Rodgers’ $6.8 millilon roster bonus into a signing bonus last week.
His agreement includes a base salary of almost $15 million for the 2021 season, which could be converted to open up some salary-cap space.
Years could also be added to the Rodgers deal to spread the money out.
However, pushing cap money into future years would complicate any transition to Jordan Love as the Packers’ starting quarterback.
