
Bail hearings were held for two Manitowoc residents facing multiple charges regarding a drug investigation that resulted in their arrests over the weekend.
Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa set bail at $25,000 cash for 35-year-old Steven James Khail and $15,000 cash for 34-year-old Melissa Marie Jagemann had bail set at $15,000 cash on charges of possession of Heroin and Fentanyl with intent to deliver and possession of Methamphetamine. Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit Investigators received information regarding individuals who were traveling to the Milwaukee area and transporting narcotics back to the Manitowoc area for distribution.
County Sheriff’s Deputies and personnel from the State Patrol assisted by stopping the suspect’s vehicle on County Highway LS near Cleveland. Investigators seized approximately 66 grams of Fentanyl and 22 grams of “Black Tar” Heroin plus a “small amount” of Methamphetamine.
Conditions of bail for both defendants are that they have “no contact” with any known drug dealers or users and maintain “absolute sobriety” from drugs and alcohol. Both remain in the County Jail with initial appearances scheduled for April 5th at 1:30 p.m.
