One of the biggest health risks out there is mold.
Michael Rubino, author of “The Mold Medic: An Expert’s Guide on Mold Removal” spoke with Seehafer News recently about the problem, calling it part of the eco-system.
“You are going to find mold growing on trees, it’s going to be in the soil, and it does have a function of decomposing particulate matte already out there,” Rubino explained. “We just don’t want it in our homes producing a lot of particulate matter that then gets inside of our lungs.”
As for how you can locate mold in your home, Rubino said, “When it comes to your house, the problem is there is some sort of moisture or water intrusion allowing the opportunity for mold to grow in your home in the first place. One of the first things you want to do is use your sense of smell. If you smell a musty odor, there may be moisture coming into the home somewhere. Also, visually, you will see brown stains where you have water intruding into your house.”
Mold is actually microscopic, so by the time you see it on your wall, there are tens, or hundreds of thousands, if not millions of particulate matter already present.
If you have symptoms of mold exposure such as fatigue, brain fog or weight loss or gain reach out to a licensed mold inspector to do some testing and they’ll give you a plan to repair that and remove the mold.
