Two men who were convicted for bringing an estimated $1.3 million in methamphetamine to Manitowoc County will be spending some time in prison for their actions.
27-year-old Porfirio Meji-Aneri was before Judge Jarilyn Dietz yesterday (March 18th) where he was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison, followed by 7.5 years on extended supervision, while Brayan Pacheco-Bernali was sentenced to 6 years in prison and 6 years of extended supervision by Judge Robert Dewane on Tuesday.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office and the DEA teamed up to catch these two men in April of 2019.
Undercover agents purchased the drugs from the duo in both Manitowoc and Sheboygan Counties.
The ensuing investigation revealed that Maji-Aneri and Pacheco-Bernali brought an estimated 36 pounds of meth, with a street value of around $1.3 million, to Wisconsin with the intent to sell it.
