The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says its search for a missing hiker has switched to a search and recovery effort.
Kevin J. Doyle didn’t return home from a walk Wednesday morning at Storrs Lake. His two yellow Labrador retrieves were found dead Thursday morning.
The sheriff’s office says it no longer needs volunteers to help look for Doyle.
Doyle was last seen leaving his home at 9:30 a-m Wednesday. When he wasn’t back by 11:30 the family started looking for him, then contacted authorities about two hours later.
His vehicle is still parked at the lake.
