A local representative in the State Assembly has voted in favor of a series of bills that aim to improve the health care system.
Assemblyman Paul Tittl said in a news release that the bills will help reduce the cost of prescription medications, protect people with pre-existing conditions from losing insurance coverage, and increase the number of vaccinators by allowing dentists to administer the COVID-19 and flu vaccines.
He sided with another local representative, Senator Andre Jacque, who actually penned the bill regarding preexisting conditions coverage being covered along with Representative Gae Magnafici.
That measure has advanced into the Senate.
In the release Tittle said that “Keeping healthcare accessible and affordable continues to be one of my top priorities. As Wisconsin continues to recover from the pandemic, these bills will provide security for health of all Wisconsinites.”
