Republicans in the Wisconsin Senate angered Democrats Tuesday by passing a resolution honoring conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh.
The resolution was introduced at the end of the day’s floor session.
Minority Leader Janet Bewley accused Republicans of introducing the resolution just to anger members of her party.
Limbaugh died last month after a long battle with cancer.
Senator LaTonya Johnson called Limbaugh a homophobe and a racist.
When she tried to introduce a resolution recognizing February as Black History Month, Republicans slammed the door.
