An area custodian is being recognized for all her hard work and has made the finals of the 2021 Custodian of the Year contest sponsored by the Cintas Corporation.
Bobbi Sue Burbey is a custodian at Wrightstown High School, but to the students, she is more than that. Burbey is literally a lifesaver, as she helped a choking student by performing the Heimlich maneuver.
On top of keeping the school clean, Burbey also helps students and staff alike as a counselor. In fact, she has even opened up her home as a safe space for students in unfortunate living situations.
The public is encouraged to vote for whom they wish to win the grand prize, which includes $10,000 in cash, $5,000 in Cintas and Rubbermaid products, as well as training valued at up to $20,000 from the ISSA.
Voting can be done at CustodianOfTheYear.com.
