Effective this Friday (March 19th), there will be a new owner of what has been a nearly 70-year old business on Manitowoc’s southwest side.
Claire Roorbach Olson said on Facebook Monday the flower shop and greenhouses operated under the name of the Roorbach family has been sold.
The Heidi Schwoerer family from the Valders/St. Nazianz area will be taking over and changing the name to The Rustic Rose.
Olson explained that her valued staff of Roorbach Flowers will continue to be a part of the Rustic Rose to provide a seamless transition to the future.
She continued, “We are thrilled for the Schwoerers to be bringing in their new and exciting ideas to continue with the flower shop and garden center that has been such an asset to the Manitowoc County community.”
Olson thanks her customers and said the thing she’ll miss the most is taking phone calls and keeping in touch over the years.
She added, “I am so grateful for your business and friendship. It has been my sincere pleasure to serve you. We hope you’ll support the Rustic Rose.”
The outgoing flower shop and greenhouse owner indicated the Schwoerers will continue to use the same phone number, 920-682-6331.
