Authorities believe the man whose body was found in the Crawfish River Saturday morning is the one involved in a domestic incident in Columbus the previous day.
The man’s name hasn’t been released.
The Wisconsin Justice Department Division of Criminal Investigation is leading the case, with help from Columbus police, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
Several law enforcement agencies had been looking for the man for nearly a day after the Friday incident.
He ran from the scene as Columbus police officers were arriving.
