As the weather continues to become warmer, the City of Manitowoc is beginning to prepare for the annual spring clean-up.
According to Dan Koski, the Director of Public Infrastructure, the city will begin picking up brush from properties on the south side of the city the week of April 5th, and will do the same on the north side the week of April 12th.
As a reminder, Brush is defined as clean woody vegetative material not to exceed five feet in length or six inches in diameter and bushes/shrubs without root bulbs.
Yard waste, which includes leaves, thatch, yard and garden waste, will be picked up from south side properties the week of April 19th, and from the north side the week of April 26th.
Crews will only go through each area of the city once, so make sure your brush and yard waste is placed on the terrace in front of your home on the correct day.
If you do miss your scheduled day, you can still bring your brush and yard waste to the compost site, located on Basswood Road.
