COVID-19 issues inside the Golden Eagles volleyball program are being given as the reason Marquette’s weekend series against Xavier has been canceled.
Matches had been scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
Marquette had a two-match series against Creighton called off last month. The Golden Eagles have a 9-and-3 record, including 4-and-2 in Big East Conference play.
The cancellation announcement came one day after Wisconsin announced it was canceling its Friday and Saturday matches against Northwestern – also due to COVID-19 after a breakout in the Wildcat program.
