A verbal altercation resulted in a Manitowoc man being taken into police custody.
Officers were called to the Express Mart in the 1400 block of North 8th Street on a report of a customer threatening the worker on duty.
When they arrived, the officers spoke with the worker, who explained that a man, who frequents the store, had requested cashback, which is not something they do.
The duo got into a verbal argument, and the customer left the store.
He did return while the officer was on the scene, and claimed the worker was racist for not giving him the money.
The officer gave the customer a trespassing warning and learned that the man was on probation, which required him to remain sober.
A breathalyzer test was administered, and he was arrested for Felony Bail Jumping.
