Penalties for high school sports fans who heckle or harass referees are being toughened.
The WIAA will vote on an amendment in May to create a penalty for those who are ejected for “flagrant harassment or unsporting conduct.”
Get ejected and you’ll have to miss the next competition.
The W-I-A-A Board of Control advanced the amendment at a meeting last week.
The host school would have to record and submit an ejection report about the incident.
The next Board of Control meeting will be May 25th or 26th at 2:00 p-m.
