Two Rivers City Manager Greg Buckley says the City’s Planning Commission received a preliminary plan briefing this week on a proposed TID (Tax Incremental District) 14 at the Woodland Industrial Park.
“…which is being considered to further extend Industrial Park Infrastructure and possibly extend grant assistance to businesses investing at the Park. We have a prospect showing interest that would require some TIOD assistance to move forward.”
They also looked at a possible ordinance amendment that would change where small energy systems are allowed.
“Our code defines small wind energy systems as a pole-mounted wind turbine that doesn’t exceed 170 feet to the tip of the blade. They currently can only be located in back yards. This possible amendment would allow them in interior or street-side yards.”
The Two Rivers Governmental Entity also discussed expanding kennel usage from industrial zoned areas for “conditional use” on “B-2” Business District parcels of at least one acre and reviewed “preliminary draft “information for the city’s Comprehensive Plan Update related to Community and Economic Development.
The Full Council is expected to discuss and take possible action at its meeting Monday night.
