A witness, surveillance video, and fingerprints on a beer bottle led investigators to charge Christopher Stovall in a November 2019 fatal shooting.
Stovall was on the run for five months before he was taken into custody in Texas last April.
He was sentenced to 33 years in prison in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday.
Prosecutors originally charged Stovall with first-degree intentional homicide, but the charge was lowered to reckless homicide in December and a plea agreement was reached.
