A construction worker is expected to recover after an accident at a worksite Tuesday morning.
Witnesses say the man was hit by a 2,000-pound boulder, causing him to fall 60-feet down a cliff over Lake Michigan.
His name hasn’t been released.
North Shore firefighters used ropes and pulleys to lift him to safety.
Mud from melting snow reportedly made the job more dangerous.
The crew was working on a lake bluff reconstruction project when the boulder broke loose and rolled downhill, hitting the victim.
The big rocks were being used to shore up the lake bluff from erosion.
